Calling all little ladies of the Houston area kingdom – come enjoy a week of medieval fun at Magnolia! Girls entering PreK4 – 1st grade in the fall of 2024 are invited to this camp. We will spend the week learning all about princesses, knights, castles, dragons, fairies, and much more! This full day camp will include arts & crafts, stories, games, and a delicious, themed snack each day.
If you have ever wondered why bread dough rises, why pop-rocks sizzle on your tongue, or why kombucha bubbles, this is the camp for you! Baking, cooking, and candy making are all done with chemistry and science. This camp will delve deep into questions about the science of food. Campers will make gummy bears, cupcakes, and pop-rocks, learn about fermentation and yeast by making sourdough bread and kombucha, and even forage for food from nature for a locally sourced tea party. Girls will take home a new food each day to share with their family and friends!
Come and learn everything you need to know about the art of stage makeup! Mrs. Nicole Fair, Magnolia’s expert in all things theater, will guide campers through a week of instruction, helping girls create a portfolio of completed looks. In addition to learning how to transform into a variety of characters, girls will also practice skills for using makeup in a natural, elegant way.
Jump on a magical road and travel to a week of sweet surprises at Camp Candyland! Girls will spend the week making candy, playing candy-themed games, decorating gingerbread houses, learning about the history of chocolate and other classic candies, and tasting plenty of treats along the way.
Jump in your time machine and get ready to explore the Ancient World like never before! Experience the tastes, sights, and sounds of Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, and China. Campers will create and enjoy unique snacks, hand-on crafts, and exciting games. If you have ever wanted to explore the pyramids, recreate your own Roman armor, or design and race in your own chariot, then this is the camp for you! We can’t wait to see you there!Â
Is it magic or science (or both!)? Campers will ask this question every day as they experiment with magical color changing lemonade, secret pictures revealed by sunlight, and multicolored sparkling fire. Be prepared to be mesmerized by optical illusions, engineering feats, and more!
Crazy about animals? Can’t get enough reptiles? Wonder what the world looks like from an insect’s point of view? Join us for Creature Camp! Every day of camp will feature a different animal guest (or two!), and campers will be able to pet, learn how to hold, and care for a variety of insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Hop on over!
Cupcakes, cookies, and cakes galore! Join Magnolia’s very own baker extraordinaire, Mrs. Omanga, for a week of The Great Magnolia Bake Off. This week of baking competitions will teach girls baking and decorating skills through a variety of challenges; the rewards will be sweet!
Come and learn how to cook the best family favorite recipes! While mastering classic recipes, girls will learn kitchen skills which will last a lifetime. Master a recipe or two, make new friends, and enjoy cooking at Magnolia!Â
Join us for a week of non-stop fun and adventure at Camp Magnolia! All girls entering grades 1-7 are invited to join us at Magnolia School for our signature summer camp. Each day, campers will play out of the ordinary games, activities, and crafts that all relate back to the theme of the day. Along the way, campers will learn the ropes of new and exciting skills, such as archery and field hockey, and participate in whole camp games of capture the flag, dodgeball, and much more! This is the week of Summer at Magnolia that you do not want to miss – bring a friend or two and come along with us to CAMP MAGNOLIA!Â
Come play with us! Girls are invited to come play games, take risks, and build teamwork skills in this camp. Campers will make snacks and crafts, enjoy a tea party, and take field trips throughout the week to area parks and playgrounds. Get ready for a week full of fun! Â
Take a journey through history back to a simpler time. Girls will learn stories about pioneer families in America and participate in making hand dipped candles, pioneer-inspired toys and crafts such as rag dolls, corn husk flowers, and stenciling. They will learn about how pioneers made hooked rugs, what day-to-day chores were like, and how they had fun through square dancing and games. Girls will also take home plenty of handmade pioneer crafts and mementos.
Bonjour! Come along for a week in Fabulous France with Ms. Champagne! Girls will enjoy an immersion in French culture, art, food, language, and much more, through crafts, stories, and activities aplenty. Stroll through the lavender fields of Provence, explore the Eiffel Tower, and meander through the Louvre — all from the comfort of Magnolia!
Why not have all three?! Girls in this camp will learn the ins and outs of keeping their minds and bodies healthy. Campers will learn how to take care of and style their hair, and make natural hair, skin, and bath products. Girls will learn the science behind keeping their bodies healthy with movement, exercise, stretching, and Pilates. Every day of camp will also include a lesson in how to make a nutritious snack to help each girl feel strong, healthy, and beautiful. Â
Pack your bags! We’re going on a summer road trip across the 50 states! We’ll learn map skills, how to plan and prepare for an epic road trip and have a blast while studying fun facts about our country and all the states and capitals. Buckle up!Â
Come dance with us this summer! No experience is required, and all levels are welcome! Girls will learn ballet, tap, and jazz basics with an exciting performance at the end of the week.
Spend a week on the go, seeing our favorite hometown Houston from a new perspective! Campers will enjoy a week full of field trips to five different areas in and around Houston. Learn about and visit some lesser-known gems in the city, including the downtown tunnels, museums, historical sites in Galveston, and more.Â
Come join one of Magnolia School’s accomplished artists and teachers, Mrs. Laura Fletcher, for adventures in art! Campers will use different materials throughout the week to create 6-8 completed projects. Girls will experience print making, paper mâché, oil pastels, watercolor, mixed media projects, and painting. Â
If you love decorating, planning parties, and making delicious snacks and treats for friends and family, this is the camp for you! Each day of camp will be focused on a different holiday or season, and girls will make crafts and snacks based on the theme of the day. Ready to make Christmas decorations, Irish treats for St. Patrick’s Day, and plan for an autumn tea party? Join us for Homemade Holidays!Â
Get moving this summer at Magnolia! In Monarchs on the Move, campers will get all their energy out playing classic physical games and trying new sports. Girls will grow in teamwork, good sportsmanship, and endurance while having plenty of fun and engaging in healthy competition. All levels of athletes are welcome!Â
